This November, The Monthly Pour takes us to Colorado’s Western Slope as we welcome Cliff Dweller Wine Co. of Palisade.

Cliff Dweller’s story began far from Colorado, when a Colorado girl and an Australian winemaker crossed paths in Napa Valley in 2009. What started there became a shared adventure through the vineyards of France, New Zealand, Australia, and eight years in Napa—before eventually leading them back to Colorado.

For Richard and Aly McDonald, Colorado offered something special: an emerging wine region with untapped potential, a landscape they loved, and the opportunity to create wines that tell the story of the land, history, and people who call it home.

Sommelier Shelley Bailey will guide us through four wines from Cliff Dweller Wine Co., sharing the stories behind the wines and exploring what makes Colorado wine—and its high-elevation growing regions—so distinctive. We’ll finish with a featured wine from Latigo Winery.
